If a visitor comes to India, he (or she) can be justified in thinking that these are some key lessons a large number of Indians have been taught:
1. Throw trash and litter public or common areas as much as one can
2. Garbage is not my problem
3. Spit everywhere and frequently. If you can stain walls (e.g. with Paan) do so
4. Waste things especially if you are not paying for it
5. Do not wait in queues. Jump ahead at the first opportunity. Queues are a waste of time.
6. Patience is bad
7. Break signals and violate all traffic rules. Rules are stupid and only for others. Pedestrians are a menace.
8. Honk as much as you can
9. Follow rules only if you are travelling overseas
10. Be strict, harsh and mean with servants - aren't they getting paid?
11. Talk loudly, especially in public places
12. Do not respect others
